Fuka Kisaragi (如月 風花, Kisaragi Fūka) is the main protagonist of the first story in the novel Ice Blue Sin. She is a Cross Academy Student who secretly has a crush on Kaname Kuran.

History

Fuka was in a fatal accident before attending Cross Academy where she almost died, but she was bitten by a Pureblood, turning her into a vampire. After saving her life, they also suppressed her memories of the incident. The identity of the Pureblood is still unknown.

Plot

Fuka first appears trying to sneak into the Moon Dorm to give chocolates to Kaname Kuran for St. Xocolatl's Day. However, she is caught by Kaname, who simply states that he will keep her plan a secret, and tells Hanabusa Aido, Akatsuki Kain, Ruka Souen and Takuma Ichijo to escort her out. She is invited to come back to the Moon Dorm anytime she likes. But eventually, she overhears the Night Class's plan to use her in an experiment concerning blood tablets, as they are still in development at this time. Hearing that she is, in truth, a former human, she flees. Hanabusa follows her, and explains to her the incident that took place before she arrived at Cross Academy. Afterwards, Fuka accidentally drinks her roommate, Kanae's blood, and in horror runs to the Moon Dorm for help. Hanabusa takes her away from the Dorm by Kaname's order, and after Takuma and Senri Shiki say that she has to be killed before falling to a Level E. Fuka then asks Hanabusa to kill her, and, sadly, he grants her last wish. Before turning to dust, she tells him that she loves him and it begins to rain after she dies. Hanabusa vows not to interfere with matters involving former humans again and releases the last of the dust to be washed away.

Etymology

• The name Fuka means "wind, breeze, way, manner, blaster, gale, gust, sirocco, method" (風) (fū) and "flower, blossom" (花) (ka).
• Fuka's surname Kisaragi means "February" (如月).
