TheKurosu Family was a family of renowned Vampire Hunters. They were one of the known families to be under the "Curse of the Hunter Twins", where one twin would devour the other to gain its strength. Kaien was a strong champion of peace between humans and vampires, starting an academy to help further this goal.
The last living members of the Kurosu Family are Ai Kuran and Ren Kiryu through the late adopted Yuki Kuran, with Zero Kiryu, the unofficial adopted member, later resurrected as a human.
Overall View[]
The Kurosu family are well known and respected by the Hunter Society for their skills in hunting and capturing vampires. with Kaien though, he’s known to have Vampire friends and regarded weirdly for thinking they can all live in peace together.
Following the death of the Kaien and later Yuki, her children are the only living members left. Although Zero, an unofficial adopted member, was resurrected and given back his human life.

At some point during the thousand years that Kaname Kuran is in a slumber, Zero becomes President of the Hunter’s association. During this time, Yuki and Zero also have a child together. This child, Ren Kiryu, is the last living Kiryu.
Etymology[]
- The surname Cross is the Japanese pronunciation of "cross" and the kanji chosen for Kurosu translates to "black" (黒) (kuro) and "master, principal" (主) (su).
