"I Love You" (あなたのことが好きです, Anata no Koto ga Suki desu), originally released as Special Chapter: "I Love You" (特別編「あなたのことが好きです」, Tokubetsu Hen: "Anata no Koto ga Suki desu"), is the second chapter of the Vampire Knight manga sequel series Vampire Knight: Memories.
The chapter was originally published as a post-series one-shot in LaLa DX. As Matsuri Hino continued releasing one-shots, they were eventually bundled into Vampire Knight: Memories which was later serialized.
Summary[]
In the past, Hanabusa Aido has been researching how to make vampires into humans through the old books, and Sayori Wakaba has been helping him with his research. The two grow closer and Yori admits her feelings, and Hanabusa begins to do the same. After overhearing an exchange between Zero and Yuki, a very young Ai asks Hanabusa if he likes or loves Yori, and Hanabusa demands to know from Zero what he and Yuki have been saying in front of a child.
In the present, Ai Kuran and Ren Kiryu tell Kaname Kuran that Aido's research led to a way for vampires to live as humans. Ai reveals that Kaname's past memories have been sealed along with his vampire traits, but it's important to her that he know of what's happened in the past 1,000 years while he slept. Ai becomes sad, and Kaname embraces both her and Ren. Kaname asks to hear more.
