Taito Takamiya ( 鹰宫台東 , Takamiya Taito ) was a Vampire Hunter and Kaito Takamiya's older brother. Taito was turned into a Vampire by a undentified Pureblood. When Kaito was only 15 years old, he had to kill his brother who had become a Level E vampire with his own hands.

Taito's appearance is mostly unknown. Since his younger brother, Kaito, was well-known for his ash brown hair and hazel eyes, it's hinted that Taito also had ash brown hair and hazel eyes.
After being bitten by a undentified Pureblood, Kaito's eyes become red and he grew fangs.
Personality[]
Nothing much is known of Taito's personality , but Taito seems to hate vampires to some extent due to his hunter career . Since his younger brother , Kaito seems to be deeply affected by Taito's death, Taito appeared a quite good older brother who cares about his younger siblings
History[]
It's unknown when exactly Taito was born other than fact that Taito was a vampire hunter , and had a younger brother name Kaito . Taito's family never cared much for his siblings, resulting in his younger brother, Kaito ran away from home in the process .
At some point, Taito was bitten by a undentified Pureblood and on his first mission with Yagari, Kaito insisted that he will put his older brother out of mystery .
At first, Kaito thought that his older brother was murdered since he never came back from his mission. When Kaito and Zero went on their first mission to kill a Level E vampire, Kaito was deeply shocked to discover that his older brother was actually bitten by a Pureblood all this time, so Kaito had to kill his own brother. Kaito decided to kill his brother by himself rather then letting someone else do it, but it had deeply affected him.

During his time as a human, Taito was a vampire hunter alongside his younger brother , Kaito , further implying his above-average skills and talents. Judging from the fact that Taito was a vampire hunter, it's likely that he has slight accelerated healing over humans and the ability to sense vampires. Since his younger brother Kaito was under the tutorage of Toga Yagari , a top-ranked vampire hunter , it's presumably Taito was trained by Yagari as well . The greatest extent of his powers is shown when Taito got assigned in a mission that involved a undetified Pureblood, which later prove to be his downfall .
After being bitten by a undentified Pureblood, Taito has immortality and gained improved healing abilities.

It's unknown if Taito was armed with anti-vampire weapons or not. GIven that Taito was a vampire hunter, it's possible that he was armed with anti-vampire weapons.

It's unknown what happened to Taito's family after Taito was made into a vampire. It's not yet confirmed if Taito's family actually know about Taito becoming vampire.
Undentified Pureblood Vampire[]
Taito's relationship with the undentified Pureblood is mostly unknown , but it's hinted that they had a complicated relationship , as they are from two different species which are vampires and humans
The undentified Pureblood is heavily implied to be responsible for turning Taito into a vampire during that fateful mission, which explain why this undentified Pureblood proves to be "the indirect cause" to Taito's demise later on . As Taito never made a point about what happen to the undenitifed Pureblood, it's likely Taito disliked or felt indifferent towards the undenitifed Pureblood . Since Taito left this the undentified Pureblood's "clutch" shortly after and wandered around as an Level E vampire, this undentified Pureblood is leave with the reputation of being the one turning Taito who was a hunter into a vampire, and was never heard of again after that .
It's unknown what happen to this undentified Pureblood after Taito's demise . Since this undentified Pureblood is only mentioned in the history as the sire of the hunter Taito , he is most likely deceased . The circumstances of this undentified Pureblood's death is still unknown to people, but it's presumably that they could have been defeats and killed by vampire hunters or they could simply have died of some other causes . However , if the undentified Pureblood is still alive after Taito's demise , there're a high chance that Taito's younger brother , Kaito are having vendetta against this undentified Pureblood for being reponsible for his brother's death and hunts them down, or they could be puts in the vampire hunters's hit lists . Or perhaps this undentified Pureblood managed to survived though the whole ordeal despite Taito's younger brother , Kaito wanted to hunt them down, or being on the vampire hunters's hit lists

Kaito is Taito's younger brother whom he used to share a close relationship until Taito was bitten by a Pureblood and on his first mission with Yagari, Kaito insisted that he will put his brother out of the misery .
At first, Kaito thought his brother was murdered since he never came back from his mission. He actually cared very much for him, but he always covered that up, since he thought compassion was a weakness. When he and Zero went on their first mission to kill a Level E, he discover that his brother was actually bitten by a Pureblood all this time, so Kaito had to kill his own brother. Kaito proceed to decided to kill his own brother rather than letting someone else do it, but it had deeply affected him.
Zero Kiryu[]
Taito's relationship with Zero Kiryu is unclear, but it's hinted that they had a complicated relationship . Since his younger brother, Kaito used to be under the care and tutoring of Yagari along with Zero and Ichiru, it's hinted that he know Zero and train along with the Kiryu siblings.
Additionally, it's likely that Taito respect Zero to some extent as Zero and Ichiru's parent, the Kiryus were high-ranking Vampire Hunters.
Ichiru Kiryu[]
Taito's relationship with Ichiru Kiryu is unclear, but it's hinted that they had a complicated relationship. Since his younger brother, Kaito used to trained under Yagari along with Zero and Ichiru, it's possible that he know Ichiru and train along with the Kiryu siblings.
It's likely that Taito respect Ichiru to a certain extent as Zero and Ichiru's parents , the Kiryus were high-ranking Vampire Hunters. However, considering Ichiru's deteriorate health, t's possible that he dislike Ichiru from the start .
Toga Yagari[]
Taito's relationship with Yagari is unclear. Since his younger brother Kaito was trained under Yagari, it's hinted that Taito was one of Yagari's student.
