"Bonus Story: The Warmth That Slipped from Her Palm. And..." is an extra chapter in the Vampire Knight manga series.
It takes place several years earlier when Yuki gets sick.
Summary[]
Yuki is sick with a cold when Kaname comes to visit her. Kaname apologizes for waking her and asks her to go back to sleep, but she says no since he'll leave if she does so. He turns to leave, but she says that she'll sleep if he stays. She falls asleep holding his hand.
When she wakes, Kaname is gone. She gets up and opens her bedroom door to find Zero sitting in the hallway. Yuki asks him what he's doing, but Zero says "nothing" and walks away. When she steps out, barefoot, she notices something about the floor. She places both palms on the floor and notes that it's warm, indicating that Zero had been sitting there for a while.
